Nothing like a quick trip to the mall to cure my mid-afternoon boredom. I went with the hopes of finding a cute simple dress to wear out this weekend, but I wasn't able to find anything I was crazy about. Instead, I came home with these rings and necklace I found at Charlotte Russe. Not my favorite store, but then again the mall near me doesn't have the greatest selection. Either way, I was perfectly happy with the items I found.
(And I managed to sneak in a Green Tea Frap from Starbucks of course)
For me it seems like there is never a happy medium.. I'm either crazy busy running around non stop, or completely bored out of my mind and having the laziest day possible. Today is one of those lazy days. I have been laying around all day with not a thing to do or a place to be. Not to mention the miserable wind and rain outside. I must say it's nice to have a break, but I just get bored too quickly. Thank goodness for fashion tumblrs and blogs to browse and good music to listen to for hours at a time.
I've also had thisvideoon repeat and wanted to share it with you.
Lately I've been looking for the perfect bathing suit for this summer. I'm in search of something different.. something no one else will have.
I came across these ones, what do you think!?!
Haha!! I know, a little wild right? There's something about them that I just love! I never was much of a one-piece girl, but I think a hot summer day and one of these sexy things tucked into destroyed cut-off jean shorts could be pretty cute.
Just a thought.
I also wanted to share the fact that I have been completely obsessed with browsing for interior decorating ideas. I can't wait to have my own little place. (And I'm talking a little more than a dorm room and bathroom shared between 10 girls..) There's something empowering about having your own space. A place where you can decorate, design and do whatever you what whenever you want. I found this amazing pink living room here, and fell in love with it. Granted it's not remotely close to my first apartment, but it's still fun to get ideas for decor.
Okay enough of the random stuff for the day! I just wanted to share the past few hours of my life with you. Sometimes I feel like my posts can be so much more professional then they have to be. It's called a "blog" for a reason. Hope you don't mind the randomness!!
Wanted to share some shots from a shopping trip with my sister and fill you in a little on my recent epiphany. I have always been very O.C.D when it came to breaking a schedule. It bothered me to even run to the store or walk to class on a different route, but I have come to realize that a strict day to day schedule becomes monotonous and boring. I can finally say that I've learned to take full advantage of and embrace every moment offered throughout my day. In today's case, it meant waking up early, working all day and driving straight to the city to meet my sister. So happy to enjoy a delicious meal, live music and evening shopping : ) These spontaneous trips are always the best.
I made a ton of great purchases tonight and I can't wait to share them with you! A new bomber jacket, silk maxi skirt, eclectic bodycon dresses, 2 new pairs of sunnies and a blazer, just to name a few!
Tonight I was wearing:
2-toned tights ~ Urban Outfitters
Long Sleeve Black Cotton Dress aka (comfiest LBD ever) ~ H&M
Fur Cuff Bag ~ Coach
Leopard Coat & Turquoise Stone Necklace ~ Forever21
Watch ~ Michael Kors (Which I have refused to take off since the day I got it)
What a crazy few last few weeks I have had! Between midterms and traveling for work, I have had zero time to do anything extra. It's 2:00am and I'm just getting to bed from a busy day at work. One more pageant to go this weekend then I'll be off till the 20th. I wanted to apologize for the last of posts lately and let you know what's to come in the near future! Posts including: a vintage fur coat sent from an amazing boutique in Melbourne, Australia, an interview and beauty photos with Miss Pennsylvania USA 2011, an exciting new giveaway, excerpts from my beauty/fashion blog articles published in Pittsburgh Fashion Magazine and some of my most recent outfit posts. Also, I've been asked to take part in some pretty amazing events including: a shoot with Serendipity Boutique's newest Spring line, a photo shoot in the beginning of April with a tremendous photographer Edwin Shaw and assisting in the Glitzburgh Fashion Show!
