randomnesses

Just some random photos I came across as I organized my desktop. I have a tendency of dragging amazing tumblr and blog photos onto my desktop or into random folders on my MackBook and never actually end up doing anything with them, so I thought I'd share them instead.
Hope everyone is almost ready for Christmas! I know I am.

TisTheSeasonForHolidayDresses

It's that time to get out that sparkly, shiny and borderline obnoxious holiday dress : ) The one time of the year where no one will say you've gone overboard on the sequins. Here are a few of my favorites for the holiday season.

WelcomeToTheArmParty

Can't get enough of the "Arm Parties" trend. The combination of a timeless bracelet, string friendship wraps, a metal bangle and watch creates the perfect 'Arm Party.' I'd say three is a crowd, but four or five is a party. Blogger Leandra Medine of the blog, The Man Repeller is one of my favorite sporters of the 'Arm Party' look. This trend can be worn both casually with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a white tee, or dressy with a fitted blazer and dress. These piled on bracelets look great over the sleeve of a long sleeve turtleneck for the winter months, or with a printed blouse and high-wasted shorts for summer. Enjoy these inspirational photos for ideas to throw your next arm party :0)

ThighHigh

I look at the Fall season as the perfect time to turn Summer outfits into Winter ones. What better way than with a pair of tights? Or better yet, thigh highs!! Example: Layer on a light summer dress over a pair of printed tights and thigh highs, throw on a knitted sweater and scarf, a pair of boots and you're ready for the cold.

Vermont&ConnecticutUSAPageants

On my way back from Vermont and thought I would share some photos from the past two weekend state pageants during my three hour flight delay. Thanks to Edwin Shaw Photography, the Official Pageant Photographer as well as the Managing Director of FrontRow Monthly Magazine for the shots.

ModCloth-FrontrowMonthlyMagazine

I had the opportunity to model ModCloth's Fall collection for the November issue of Frontrow Monthly Magazine! It was an amazing experience and a blast to work closely with the Frontrow Monthly photog crew and stylists. The spread can be found in Frontrow Monthly Magazine on page 88. I also added some extra shots given to me by the photographer Angie Candell below. Also seen in the November issue is a great spread for Kohl's that I styled with model Amber-Joi Watkins, Miss Pennsylvania 2010. Be sure to check out that spread on page 16 as well! :)

Chokers

Whether they're bright and bulky or full and fierce, the chunky choker is poised to be one of the biggest fall trends—hooray!”- WhoWhatWear.com

I'm away on business working at a Miss USA State Pageant this weekend but had a free second during rehearsals and thought I'd share one of my favorite current trends with you. It seems almost everyone is loving this new trend and wearing it with absolutely every outfit. I've seen 'the choker' sported on celebrities, runway models, bloggers and street-style fashionistas. Layered metal chokers are great to dress up a casual tee and high-wasted jeans, while a choker with structured shapes and bold colors creates a refined and chic look. Studs and spikes are also a great choker trend paired with both a dress or skinny jeans and rocker boots. Feel free to play with the thickness of the necklace when wearing this trend. Stack a few chokers for a fun and funky “going out” look and wear a simple metal moon-shaped piece for a sleek and sophisticated accent.

Chokers have been seen in every store and on every major clothing site for the Fall season. To create your own choker, choose your favorite long necklace and clasp it up higher than usual for a shorter appearance.

Hope you are having a great Halloween weekend :] It's snowing like crazy here!!

ClosetObsessed

Random fact of the day!- One of my biggest obsessions is with none other than my CLOSET. Well, any closet. But I'm not talking about your everyday, simple, boring, single-racked, hole in the wall. I'm talking the massively overwhelming, perfectly designed, color-coordinated, shelving unit-ed haven. The place where I, and other fashion-obsessies, keep our most prized possessions. I'd say I'm a kinda/very/extremely/OCD organized and orderly person when it comes to my clothes, shoes and accessories. With my love of fashion, what makes more sense than to love the one thing where all of my favorite fashions are housed other than my closet?!

FavoriteHeels+EdelmanFlats

Thought I'd share some of my favorite shoes with you for the current "end of Summer/ beginning of Fall" season. I have been so crazy with work, traveling to the state pageants and writing for Front Row Monthly Magazine that I haven't had a chance to get some new Fall items. Definitely making time this weekend to grab some comfy warm sweaters, leggings and boots! Although the October issue of Frontrow Monthly just came out, I'm so anxious to see November's issue. I was so happy to style two of the spreads and even had the chance to model a spread for ModCloth! : ] Stay tuned lovlies!
